Rules for Submitting:

MUST be your own work (If you have a suggestion for a submission not of your own, note the club with a link!)

Number of submissions? As many as you want as long as they follow the rules

No screenshots

No motivational/demotivational posters

No tracing

No whining (this fandom is mature, so you should be as well)

No edited official art (Wallpapers are allowed, but it has to have some work put into it, not just a few pictures slapped together)

Submit to the right folder. It will be declined otherwise. See the folder list guidelines if you are unsure where your piece should go.

Unfinished work is accepted but no work-in-progress pieces. You want to show your best work afterall!

Good quality photos. This goes for cosplay AND drawn artwork.

Photo manipulations are allowed, but screenshot manipulations are not (this has little/no effect on wallpaper submissions) Credit the original owner of any stock you use.

Fanfiction Submitting:
Check spelling, grammer, etc. No chat speak or role play.
Please attend to DA's policies. Keep the naughty stuff to a minimum. No more than 5 submissions/chapters of the same story may be submitted.

If your piece was declined then that means you did not follow the guidelines somewhere. If you feel you did, please ask what went wrong in the Correspondence box of your submission. Otherwise you'll have to send the group a note with a link to the declined submission.

Gallery Folder Descriptions:

"Featured"-You may NOT submit work to this folder at any time. This a place where contest winners and picks from the folders of months passed are displayed.

"Contest" Only submit your work here if its for the ongoing contest, make sure the description of your piece is clear on the fact that it is an entry for the VHD contest you're submitting it for. Unless otherwise stated, ALL submissions for the contests must be MADE for the contest. In other words do not submit a piece you did a year or a week prior to the contest just because it happens to fall under the guidelines.

"Digital"-By tablet or mouse, Photoshop or Paint, any pieces that are digitally drawn and/or colored go here. If your piece was drawn by hand then scanned in, touched up and finished in Photoshop, Corel, etc, then it goes here.

"Traditional"-Pen, pencil, oil, pastel, etc. goes here, colored or not, so long as its by hand entirely. This includes sketches but remember, no work-in-progress pieces, the sketch has to be finished one way or the other.

"Cosplay"-Did you dress up for an occasion or convention? Did you get a picture of someone dressed up? Photos go here. Please do not take pictures from places like Cosplay.com and claim that you took them. If its you or your camera, they can go here. Props without an owner in the picture go into "Other Media"

"Other Media"-Whether its clay, a game, or maybe a tattoo, anything else goes here. Props without the cosplay can go here as well

"Crossovers"-Alucard from "Castlevania" and Doris? D and Integra Hellsing from "Hellsing"? No matter the media, that goes here. No original characters here. Also please mention in your picture's description who is the other in the piece, I do not know all fandoms. Must contain another VHD character or VHD setting that is recognizable.

"Original Characters"-Same rule applies for the Crossovers as it does here, no matter what you created it in, if it is an original character (obviously made up for the VHD fanbase) it goes here, even if D or another character from the VHD fandom is with them. They must also have a description of some sort that tells who they are. Not asking for a novel, but at the very least a name and where they are from in the VHD world is needed.

"Fanfiction"-Anything written to do with VHD goes here. Poem, story, and so on. If your story has more than 5 chapters (five seperate submissions), you can only submit the first 5.

2. Want to Affiliate even though our groups are unrelated?
-Why not? The more the merrier!

3. Do you accept other vampire work?
-No, this is a group for the Vampire Hunter D fandom. There are plenty of other vampire-related groups on DeviantArt that will accept your piece. Check out our affilates! You may find one there C:

4. Do you accept other Hideyuki Kikuchi or Yoshitaka Amano-related work?
-As much as we love the almighty Kikuchi and Amano, please see previous question.

5. Does every piece we submit have to include the vampire hunter himself?
-No, but it has to do with the VHD fandom. You can't submit a piece, for example, with Sailor Moon in it unless she's either A) Cosplaying as one of the VHD characters, B) in the VHD world, or C) she's with another VHD character.

6. I don't know how to submit to the gallery.
-First, you have to be a member, second, the blue bar at the top on the main page should say "Submit Deviation" Click that and there you go.

7. Why was my piece declined?
-Probably because you didn't read all the rules. Please see purple bulleted underlined statement above.
